2025 ISSF on Statistical Physics
The ISSF will be held during August 4-17, 2025 at the Jiangwan Campus of Fudan University in Shanghai, China. It is hosted by Fudan University and organized by Physics Department, leveraging resources from the State Key Laboratory of Surface Physics. With a focus on internationalization, cutting-edge research, and interdisciplinary integration, the ISSF offers an exceptional platform for outstanding graduate students to expand their horizons and exchange ideas. The Summer School is funded by the National Plan of Cultivating Top-tier Students in Basic Disciplines initiated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of China.
The main topic of ISSF this year is the statistical physics, focusing on two main modules: the Statistical Physics and Soft Matter (Aug. 4-11), and Thermal Metamaterials (Aug. 11-17). We will invite more than ten international top scientists to conduct lectures in English on the most current trends and topics in the field. We warmly welcomes outstanding participants from all over the world, including the undergraduate and graduate students, and the postdoctoral fellows in areas of the statictical physics. ISSF is free of tuition and provides free meals for school activities. Transport and accommodation is not covered. The application timeline is as followed:

2025復(fù)旦物理國(guó)際暑期學(xué)校:統(tǒng)計(jì)物理
2025年tyc1286太陽(yáng)集團(tuán)物理國(guó)際暑期學(xué)校(下簡(jiǎn)稱ISSF)將于2025年8月4日(周一)至8月17日(周日)在tyc1286太陽(yáng)集團(tuán)江灣校區(qū)舉辦。本次暑期學(xué)校由tyc1286太陽(yáng)集團(tuán)主辦,tyc1286太陽(yáng)集團(tuán)物理學(xué)系承辦,依托應(yīng)用表面物理國(guó)家重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室,以國(guó)際化、前沿性、融合交叉為特色,為優(yōu)秀學(xué)生拓寬視野、交流思想提供一流的學(xué)習(xí)平臺(tái)。本次暑期學(xué)校由教育部“基礎(chǔ)學(xué)科拔尖學(xué)生培養(yǎng)計(jì)劃”資助。
2025年ISSF的主題是統(tǒng)計(jì)物理,授課內(nèi)容分為兩大模塊:統(tǒng)計(jì)物理與軟物質(zhì)(8月4-11日)和熱超構(gòu)材料(8月11-17日)。我們將邀請(qǐng)十余位活躍在該領(lǐng)域?qū)W術(shù)前沿并有豐富教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的國(guó)際著名學(xué)者為授課教師,全英文集中講授相關(guān)領(lǐng)域的前沿和熱點(diǎn)。課程安排與授課專家介紹可參見(jiàn)網(wǎng)站“Coarse Description”和“Expert Profiles”模塊。
ISSF-2025將從全球申請(qǐng)者中遴選約100名優(yōu)秀學(xué)員。申請(qǐng)者需為統(tǒng)計(jì)物理相關(guān)專業(yè)的在讀碩士、博士研究生,博士后及優(yōu)秀高年級(jí)本科生。ISSF免收學(xué)費(fèi)及伙食費(fèi),學(xué)員需自理住宿費(fèi)和交通費(fèi)。暑期學(xué)校的重要申請(qǐng)時(shí)間節(jié)點(diǎn)見(jiàn)下表(均為北京時(shí)間):

Module 1. Statistical Physics and Soft Matter
Aug. 4-11, 2025
In this module, we focus on the basics and frontiers of the statistical physics and soft matter. We have six sections of lectures, including Colloidal physics, Crystal nucleation and growth, Theory of glass transition, Jamming of amorphous matter, Hyperuniform fluid and solid, AI-based statistical method.

本專題將聚焦統(tǒng)計(jì)物理與軟物質(zhì),介紹相關(guān)的統(tǒng)計(jì)物理理論、前沿實(shí)驗(yàn)與數(shù)值模擬技術(shù)。本專題包含六個(gè)子專題:膠體物理、晶體成核與生長(zhǎng)、玻璃化轉(zhuǎn)變理論、無(wú)序物質(zhì)的阻塞轉(zhuǎn)變、超均勻流體與固體、基于AI的統(tǒng)計(jì)方法。

In this module, we will explore the latest research progress of thermal metamaterials in areas such as heat transfer control, multiphysical field coupling, anisotropic heat conduction, nonlinear heat transport, and topological heat transport.
