2025 APRU本科生領導力項目
Universidad de Chile will host the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Undergraduate Leaders’ Program (ULP) in July/August 2025, themed Future Global Citizenship Leaders: Addressing Pacific Rim Challenges. This ULP has been designed to immerse international students in the complex political, economic, social, and cultural intricacies of the Pacific Rim, emphasizing the importance of the Latin American viewpoint.
Program highlights:
– Participants will explore the global and regional challenges faced by the Pacific Rim through a series of seminars and interactive activities.
– Participants will engage in workshops, UN simulation models, and excursions to international organizations.
– Cultural diversity will be celebrated and discussed, highlighting the importance of inclusion and mutual respect in global diplomacy.
– Participants will not only enhance their diplomatic skills but also establish lasting connections with peers and experts, preparing them to influence and contribute to policy-making on the Pacific Rim stage.

Week 1: Understanding Pacific Rim Challenges
Day 0: Welcome Dinner & Fireside Chat
Day 1: Global Citizenship – Welcome Ceremony & Keynote Address
Day 2: Economics – Discussions with Diplomats and Economists
Day 3: Environment – Student Interviews & Field Visits
Day 4: Cultural Diversity – Folkloric Lunch & Cultural Presentations
Day 5: Indigenous Knowledge – Panel & Community Visit
Day 6: Human Rights & Nature – Museum Visit & Mountain Excursion
Week 2: Skills and Applications in Diplomacy
Day 8: UN Model Workshop (Student-Led)
Day 9: Excursion to CEPAL – Insight into International Organizations
Day 10: Leadership Seminar & Chilean Astronomy Evening
Day 11: Problem-Solving Challenge – Propose Solutions for Pacific Rim Issues
Day 12: Final Presentations & Certificate Ceremony
Program period: July 20 to August 2, 2025
Eligibility：
2 Full-time undergraduate students, who have completed at least one year of studies, from all disciplines currently registered at an APRU member university.
2 Participants must have a good command of the English language.

APRU
環太平洋大學聯盟（Association of Pacific Rim Universities, APRU），是由環太平洋地區各國的頂級研究型大學組成的高校聯盟。聯盟成立于1997年，由加州理工學院、加州大學伯克利分校、加州大學洛杉磯分校和南加大四所大學的校長共同發起，旨在大力推動環太平洋地區經濟體在科學、教育和文化方面的合作。聯盟目前共有60所成員高校，包含美國、加拿大、澳大利亞、日本、韓國、新加坡等世界頂尖名校。
